As anticipated, 21 drivers are on the preliminary entry record for Tuesday night time’s Busch Conflict on the highway course at Daytona Worldwide Speedway.
Dillon is subbing for Bubba Wallace, who didn’t meet any eligibility necessities for this yr’s Conflict: 2020 Busch Pole Award winners; previous Busch Conflict winners, Daytona 500 race winners, and Daytona 500 pole winners who ran full time in 2020; 2020 NASCAR Cup Collection playoff drivers; 2020 NASCAR Cup Collection race winners; and 2020 NASCAR Cup Collection stage winners.
24 drivers are formally eligible to compete within the Conflict. Jimmie Johnson (now an IndyCar rookie), Matt Kenseth (now done with full-time racing) and Clint Bowyer (now with Fox Sports) should not scheduled to take action.
The 35-lap race may have one scheduled warning set on Lap 15. The beginning lineup will probably be decided by a blind draw at 9 p.m. ET Monday. The draw could be seen on Daytona International Speedway’s Facebook page.
