POLAND — George Pete, 88, handed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
He was born Oct. 28, 1932, in Youngstown, a son of the late George and Martha Zavada Pete.
George graduated from Campbell Memorial Excessive College and was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church. He was a supervisor for Chilly Metallic Merchandise after which grew to become a bus driver for Youngstown Metropolis Colleges. In his youthful years, George performed accordion for a polka band. He loved going to the Western Reserve Fish and Recreation Membership and getting a chew to eat along with his buddy, “Ace,” each Wednesday.
His spouse, Elta R. Paden Pete, whom he married Nov. 14, 1953, handed away April 7, 2013.
George is survived by his two daughters, Barbara (Mark) Dolak of Austintown and Denise (Charles) Norman, with whom he made his house in Youngstown; granddaughter, Alexis (William) Vincent of Laurel, Md.; two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Nolan Vincent; and a sister, Ann Bagnoli of Poland.
He was preceded in loss of life by a sister, Mary Bulatko; and two brothers, Steve and John Dimoff.
Household and buddies might name midday to 1 p.m. Friday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Properties, Poland Chapel, the place a service will observe at 1 p.m.
